Energy performance glass
Australia has some of the harshest sunlight in the world. Maintaining a comfortable indoor environment is difficult, when temperatures rise and fall during the day and between seasons. To improve your overall comfort and well being there are a range of glazing options which allow you to improve your home’s insulation, reducing both your carbon footprint and your energy consumption.
With double glazed windows and doors, your home will have fewer cold spots and drafts, keeping your living space comfortable all year round and reducing the need for artificial heating and cooling. Double glazed units are made by filling a space between two pieces of glass with air or gas, creating the most energy efficient windows and doors available. These units can be custom made with an enormous range of different glasses for different requirements. Thanks to their thermal efficiency, they give architects and designers the freedom to achieve larger openings while still achieving the required energy star ratings.
Low E glass has a transparent low emissivity coating that reflects heat while still allowing in maximum light, helping keep your home cooler in summer and warmer in winter. By blocking the sun’s harmful UV rays, laminated Low E glass also reduces fading on furniture, carpet and curtains. Low E glass allows large window openings that meet energy star ratings. Laminated and single glazed options are available and it can also be double glazed for increased insulation.

Tinted glass significantly reduces the sun’s heat and glare, making it perfect for Australia’s extreme summers. The darker the tint, the more heat it absorbs and is a great choice for unshaded windows or applications where the ideal window position is unachievable. There are grey, bronze and green options available, with grey offering the best performance. But before choosing a colour, consider the look and feel as part of your overall design.

Acoustic glass
Australians are now living and working closer to each other than ever before. and we are noisier now than we were a generation ago - with most homes now containing at least one television and a range of household appliances. By choosing an appropriate glass for your specific location, you can significantly reduce the amount of ambient noise that penetrates your home.
Where energy efficiency and acoustics are both required, double glazing can be used to reduce noise. The wider the space between the two sheets of glass, the greater the sound improvement. Sound Transmission Class is a single number rating for glass’s efficiency in reducing noise transmission. Expressed in decibels, the larger the number, the greater the sound reduction.

VLam Hush™ is single glazed acoustic performance glass that provides a 6Db improvement compared to typical ordinary glass found in home windows. This is like picking your house up and moving it roughly double the distance from the noise source to achieve equivalent reduction in sound.
Looking at this another way, VLam Hush™ offers equivalent noise control to far thicker laminated and non-laminated glass products, meaning you can have thinner and lighter glass that still offers great noise performance.
ComfortHush™ is also great for reducing the noise entering your space. A laminate that uses a specially developed interlayer to dampen noise, ComfortHush™ provides enhanced sound insulation performance. So you can have thinner and lighter glass that still offers great noise performance.
Featuring two panes of glass with an interlayer between them, laminated glass dampens more vibrations than single glazed glass. Laminated glass can be used for security, noise control and UV reduction.
Privacy glass
The privacy range of glazing options allows for high level light transmittance, while obscuring the view from outside. Different levels of obscurity are available and the range can be toughened or laminated to provide a Grade A safety. Ideal for bathrooms, front entry doors or any area you want to block from prying eyes.

Great for light diffusion, privacy and as a decorative feature, textured glass can be laminated or toughened for Grade A safety glass. Three options: Cathedral, Spotswood and Satinlite.
